Abstract

El artículo repasa la vida de Stapleton y da una visión general de sus comentarios bíblicos, particularmente de su comentario a la carta de san Pablo a los Romanos. Esto permite conocer su pensamiento acerca del pecado original y la concupiscencia, contra Juan Calvino y Teodoro Beza. El autor intenta responder a la pregunta de si Stapleton se alineó en el agustinianismo o bien estaba promoviendo una teología jesuítica
