Abstract

Ao publicar Uma teoria da Justiça, em 1971, Rawls não inclui, explicitamente, um tipo de bens, denominados, neste artigo, bens naturais ambientais, um tipo de bens indispensável para assegurar a sobrevivência de todos os organismos sujeitos a necessidades básicas, incluindo as humanas. Uma teoria ética da justiça deve considerar a distribuição justa dos bens naturais ambientais a todos os seres vivos, independentemente de sua capacidade de raciocinar ou de falar, pois necessidades corpóreas são naturalmente comuns a todas as espécies vivas.Publishing A Theory of Justice in 1971 John Rawls does not include, at least explicitly, the kind of goods which are called in this paper natural environmental goods, i.e. the kind of goods which are indispensable to secure with no exception the survival of all organisms subjected to basic needs, including human needs. An ethical theory of justice has to consider the fair distribution of natural environmental goods to all living beings, independently of their capability to use reason and language, since physical needs are naturally common to all living species.
