Abstract

The present study focuses on the varying abilities of CE1 pupils (aged 7–9) in their oral presentation of events experienced during physical education activities, based in particular on a practice of presentation with specific pedagogical requirements. The authors define the epistemological point of view from which the data collected in an ordinary classroom context (Montpellier Nord, France) are analyzed, with a few elements on the uses of oralization of the written word declared by the families, after which the procedures, numbers, and initial results of the Grand Oral activity carried out with fifteen CE1 pupils are detailed.
