Abstract

We seek to explain the relationships established between the subject and nature narrative possible to develop new aspects regarding the ecological self in the poetry of Ernesto Cardenal.!e ecological self is characterized mainly by adopting a monistic position where all beings are related and constituted by the matter in the cosmos as a unit, as the poet states in Cosmic Canticle. At this level, drawing analogies between the ecological self and traditions of American native peoples, where the being is interconnected with other beings, forming a unity that transcends itself.Se busca explicitar las relaciones que se establecen entre el sujeto narrativo y la naturaleza desarrollando aspectos en lo relativo al sujeto ecológico en la obra Cántico Cósmico de Ernesto Cardenal. Este sujeto se caracteriza principalmente por adoptar una postura monista donde todos los seres están relacionados y constituidos por la materia del cosmos formando una unidad. Así se establecen analogías entre el sujeto ecológico y las tradiciones de los pueblos originarios americanos, donde el Ser queda interrelacionado con el resto de los seres, formando una unidad que se trasciende a sí misma.
