Abstract

Across the globe, millions of individuals engage in outdoor labor every day, often under demanding and hazardous conditions. Among them, migrant and ethnic minority (MEM) workers face a disproportionate risk from heat exposure. A recent scoping review by van Selm et al. (2025) sheds light on the heightened vulnerability of MEM outdoor workers and the structural barriers that hinder their ability to protect their health.
