Abstract

This essay, which has been presented in Jean Paul Sartre’s birth centennial, is a reading proposal for the best known of his works: Nausea. It is attempted to establish the need of Nausea understood as Antoine Roquentin’s diary, taken as a mediation to Nausea’s comprehension. The justification of existence is presented in the work as its surpassing, by way of a consolidation of duration through narrative.
