Abstract

O texto a seguir procura aportar uma modesta contribuição à controversa e filosoficamente interessante discussão sobre os possíveis pontos de aproximação entre as filosofias de Schopenhauer e Marx. Para tanto, enfoca o debate tradicional entre materialismo e idealismo, destacando certas similaridades entre as posições de ambos a esse respeito e apontando a concepção de ser humano como ponto teórico que determina esses posicionamentos e no qual suas filosofias apresentam importantes elementos de convergência.
